SOME WORDS FROM DAVE...

As a Whitetail and Black Bear outfitter/guide let me say this " I LOVE MY WORK'' along with my wife Marie, we put our heart and soul into our business every season. With an almost 75% repeat client base we must be doing something right eh? This season we have some hunters who are on there 10th year in a row hunting with us....we have a saying that goes" if we can get a hunter to come hunt with us just ONCE then it will be a long time before he looks elsewhere for a place to hunt"

Hunting with an outfitter is a 2-way street, a partnership, you and I will be hunting together as one.I make sure the hunter understands that I consider him to be equally responsible for a successful hunt. I spend thousands of hours in the bush every year looking for the biggest bucks in the country for my hunters to take, nothing is more frustrating for an outfitter or guide than to work his ass off for a hunter who cannot carry out his end of the deal. When you arrive for a hunt listen to what the outfitter or guide has to tell you, it's for your own success.Next get in shape both physically and mentally....there isn't a B&C buck or black bear behind every tree, but we have them here and some lucky hunter will take one but not everyone. Our hunts are not physically demanding but hunters should expect to be able to walk at least a 1/2 mile in the morning and 1/2 mile in the evening.GET IN SHAPE!! If you have bought clothes and equipment for the hunt try them on at home, don't wait until you're up here to out things don't fit because it's too late and that can ruin your hunt. And last but not least practise your shooting skills with the rifle you will be bringing for your hunt, using that rifle should be like picking your nose in the dark.Practise offhand shooting alot, you should be able to hit a 16" x 16" target ( roughly a big bucks chest ) shooting offhand at 100yds. everytime. You won't have a bench rest and sand bag when you shoot your buck and chances are you'll have an offhand shot to boot!

We at Copeau Creek Outfitters strive very hard to practise sound deer management for now and for the future generations of hunters, by asking our hunters to only harvest mature whitetail bucks we will have superb hunting for years to come. Copeau Creek Outfitters ..." DEDICATED TO NATURE AND THE HUNT "

Hunters are encouraged to enjoy all aspects of their hunt, take time to learn about all the beauty that Saskatchewan has to offer, it's country, it's people, it's wildlife and take back home with you a most memorable experience to share with your friends and family.
